September 3rd – Leg Workout (Quads / Hamstrings)

Exercise #1: Leg extensions

  • LT: 160 x 14 reps
  • TT: 160 x 16 reps

Exercise #2: Leg press (purple / 2x black bands)

  • LT: 90 / side x 10 reps
  • TT: 115 / side x 12 reps

Exercise #3: Walking dumbbell lunges

  • LT: 15’s x 22 reps (each leg)
  • TT: 15’s x 26 reps (each leg)

Exercise #4: Lying leg curl

  • LT: 170 x 8
  • TT: 185 x 6

Exercise #5: 45 degree back extension (black band)

  • LT: BW x 6
  • TT: BW x 8

5 exercises… 5 PRs… AAAAAAWWWWWWW YEA!!!

The highlight of this workout was definitely the leg press. I bombed out on this exercise in my last leg workout. I’m getting close to the end of my diet, and the endurance just wasn’t there.

I wasn’t about the logbook to get the better of me though! After all, what would The World’s Strongest Bodybuilder do? He’d get after it and increase the weight AND the number of reps! Let’s goooooooooooooo!

The rest of the workout was pretty straightforward. I hit solid PRs on all of my usual leg exercises.
