August 22nd – Leg Workout (Quads / Hamstrings)

Exercise #1: Leg extensions

  • LT: 145 x 14 reps
  • TT: 145 x 17 reps

Exercise #2: Leg press (purple / 2x black bands)

  • LT: 90 / side x 12 reps
  • TT: 90 / side x 14 reps

Exercise #3: Walking dumbbell lunges

  • LT: N/A
  • TT: 20’s x 15 reps (each leg)

Exercise #4: Lying leg curl

  • LT: 170 x 6
  • TT: 175 x 6

Exercise #5: 45 degree back extensions

  • LT: Red band x 7 reps
  • TT: Black band x 6 reps

Talk about an intense workout!

I had one new movement today: walking dumbbell lunges. I decided to start doing these as my 3rd quad exercise instead of the knees over toes squats that I was doing before. I think I went a little too heavy on the lunges, but otherwise they felt good.

Everything else went great! I hit 4 PRs on 4 exercises, and everything felt good. It’s hard to complain about hitting personal records when you’re 7-8 months into a diet! LOL!
